Q: How often should I change the fluids in my suspension???
A: Approximately 30 to 50 hours of riding. That means if you raced the Baja 1000, you need to change those fluids NOW!! Yes that oil contaminates.

Q: What determines how to choose front and rear springs?
A:  There is a number of things (riding style, class level) but Weight is the one of the most important.

Many bikes are set-up for light riders... 160-180 lbs and they are considered undersprung.

Always release the air from your forks for longer seal life:

Pressure builds up in forks when there is a change in altitude or temperature. Just as your bag of potato chips expands, so will the air in your forks. The air build-up causes the ride to be "harsh" and may eventually cause you to loose a seal. Releasing the air is a simple process:

Put the bike on a stand (to keep pressure off the front forks) and release the air from the forks by "backing out" the air bleed.(unscrew it - you will usually hear the air releasing) Remember to tighten the screw back down. Note:
The airbleed screw is the little "off-set" screw on the top of the forks.....NOT THE SCREW IN THE CENTER!!!!!! If you have an older bike, or mini - the airbleed may not be available - always check your manual. You can make life easier on yourself by purchasing air bleeds (they just screw in to the forks) then you simply need to press down on them to release the air!!
